I'm have a strange issue when previewing drum samples in Poise. Most of the time the samples preview fine, but occasionally when the sound previews, it severely clips and the audio engine cuts out for a few seconds after it has happened. I haven't seen anyone else report this so I'm wondering if Poise is conflicting with the DAW I'm using or some other aspect of my setup. Although this doesn't happen every time a sound is previewed, it does happen regularly, maybe once in every 10 - 15 previews.
My setup is:
Poise Version: 188.8.131.52
OS: Win10 64 bit
Audio Interface: Caakewalk SPS-66 (same as Edirol FA66) / ASIO.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I've just downloaded 184.108.40.206 and will try that.

Thanks for reporting the bug Mgiambro. Please let me know if it persists with 220.127.116.11.
Hi, I've had a bit more time to use Poise and unfortunately this is still happening with version 18.104.22.168.
Thanks for the update. I'll take a look.
I've just given Poise a test run in Mulab and can't reproduce the problem yet.
What version of Mulab are you using? Are you using 32 or 64bit Mulab?
Are you using 32 or 64bit Poise?
Does Mulab have a CPU meter? If so, does it max out when the volume spikes?
Can you send me your email address please? I'll send you a custom version of Poise for testing. It might help figure out what's going on.
Thanks for looking into it. I'm using 64bit MuLab / Poise. Everything I have is 64bit. MuLab does have a CPU meter. I'll keep any eye on it and let you know about that. I can't see why it would make a difference, but just so you can re-create it as I have it set up, My applications are on an SSD, while the drum samples are on a traditional hard disk.
Following on, I've noticed that the issue seems to manifest itself differently in 22.214.171.124. Before, when this happened, the audio engine seemed to cut out for a few seconds. Now, I just seem to occasionally get this kind of clippy sound that sounds a bit like a very short closed hi hat when I preview some sounds. It's not as bad now, but something is still not quite right. Also, I watch the cpu gauge and that did not change. I'm not sure how reliable that is as I have a multicore machine and I'm not sure how/if the MuLab cpu meter reflects all the cores accurately. One other thing that might be worth mentioning. I use the multi-out version of Poise and in MuLab, dedicate output 1 its own rack for previewing.
Thanks for the extra info Mgiambro.
